We Are Better Together

I HAVE A DREAM!!!

And I'm telling you, when God puts something in your heart and you start hearing Him speak, well - you better acknowledge Him!

I have this crazy thought that we are better together.
I know, right?!?
Who thinks that anymore...

And even more than that - this idea of going beyond an individual level and having churches come together.

Can you even imagine what that looks like?
I can!
And let me tell you, I know only greater things will come of it.

God WILL use us together to be better, and just like this saying goes, "A single twig breaks, but the bundle of twigs is strong."

We need to stop thinking we can do everything on our own.
That we are the only ones who care.
That we are the only ones who can make a difference.
Or better yet, stop putting our dreams on hold because *gasp* we just can't do it on our own!

Because look around.
That thinking is getting us no where.

I live in a small town that is currently experiencing an overwhelming heroine {and other drugs} epidemic.
Drugs.
Gangs.
Murders.
This list just continues...

What does it look like when we come together and start to pray and love people like we are called to do?  Jesus didn't tell us to judge others.  He told us to love them.  And sometimes that means stepping outside our boxes...stepping into a zone that is SO not our comfort.  And sometimes, that means simply saying, "I can't do this on my own...we need to come together!"

Now that's taking it to a whole nother level!
For. Real.

We cannot change people.
But we CAN pray for them.
We can pray that we see them just like Jesus sees them.

And we CAN love them.
And maybe you're thinking I'm naive in thinking that LOVE can change people, but I believe it to be true.

This is the beginning of a new journey for me...and I hope you will join me.
A bundle of twigs is STRONG!  We are BETTER TOGETHER!
